Rachel Hornock earned both her Bachelor of Science in Medical Studies and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
In 2025, Rachel completed her academic training along with diverse clinical rotations in family medicine, internal medicine, and surgery, where she developed a strong foundation in patient-centered care. She brings a passion for continuous learning, compassion, and a commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare for patients of all ages.
Originally from Maryland, Rachel recently relocated to Lewes. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys staying active, taking walks with her golden retriever, and spending time at the beach. Rachel is excited to begin her journey with Pointe Primary Care and to serve the Lewes community with dedication and care.

Erica Helsel PhD, MBA , serves as the Practice Administrator at Pointe Primary Care, where she oversees the daily administrative and operational functions of the organization. In close collaboration with Dr. Jennifer Hurd, practice owner, and the management team, she plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of efficient operations and high-quality patient care.
Erica holds a B.S. and MS. in Psychology from Campbell University, as well as both an MBA and a PhD from Wayland Baptist University. Her academic background in organizational psychology, combined with her expertise in operations and medical practice management, enables her to effectively support organizational growth, enhance team performance, and drive strategic initiatives.
A United States Marine Corps veteran, Erica brings a disciplined, service-oriented approach to leadership. She leads, by example, maintaining a hands-on presence while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Guided by a strong sense of purpose and professional integrity, Erica is committed to advancing both organizational excellence and patient-centered care.

Dr. Hurd, a Delaware native, has practiced in Sussex County for many years. She is a graduate of Jefferson Medical School and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Malina Blankenship, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner from East Tennessee, dedicated to providing compassionate, inclusive, and personalized care for patients of all ages. With a strong foundation in family practice, she values building lasting relationships with her patients and their families—helping them feel heard, supported, and empowered to take an active role in their health.
Malina believes the best care begins with listening and education. She takes pride in creating a welcoming, respectful environment where every patient feels valued and cared for. Outside of her practice, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and serving her local community.
